PACKAGE DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING

Packaging has traditionally been an important form of communications for packaged goods brands -- the last chance to win a sale over a competitor at the point-of-sale.  As big box retailers and mass merchandisers have extended self-service shopping experiences to all kinds of products, packaging and merchandising systems require even more prominence.

Our systems and procedures for assisting in the design and evaluation of packaging, honed by years of experience with design firms as well as with manufacturers, have brought us to evaluate alternative physical structures and closure systems as well as label graphics and key line copy.


Within the context of one approach, we use our own tachistoscopes to test the impact and communication values of alternative designs.  Our elemental build-up protocols determine the equity values in existing elements (color, logo, typefont, shape, orientation) and/or to assess the potential meaning of proposed alternatives.
